The Glamorous 2009 Emmy Awards

See who rocked the red carpet at the Emmy Awards.

Last night, the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards were filled with plenty of glam, lots of drama, and many laughs, upholding its status as the highlight of the entertainment industry’s fall season. This year’s host, Neil Patrick Harris did a fantastic job carrying the show while displaying his acting chops and singing pipes with ease. The beautiful and talented cast of Mad Men took home The Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series for the second year in a row. The stoic Michael Emerson, who portrays Benjamin Linus in Lost, went home with Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama. 30 Rock snagged Outstanding Comedy Series for the third year in a row as well as Outstanding Lead Actor (Alec Baldwin), and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series (Matt Hubbard). The bubbly and tiny Kristin Chenoweth almost fell over with excitement (and the weight of her award) as she accepted an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Pushing Daisies. A much deserved Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series went to Toni Collette for her multiple personality character, Tara Gregson in United States of Tara.

The stars really rolled out the red carpet of fashion this year donning some really fabulous ensembles. Standout ladies were January Jones of Mad Men who wore an absolutely stunning Atelier Versace white-jeweled gown equipped with an origami corset and full train. Olivia Wilde (of House) wore a risqué sheer white beaded Marchesa gown and Drew Barrymore looked flawless in a rose ball gown by Raven Kauffman. Ryan Seacrest made a bold statement with a Burberry tuxedo and LL Cool J made his 2009 Emmy fashion statement in a tuxedo, accessorized with a black golf cap, bow tie and pocket square. Every girl's dream boss, Jon Hamm (a.k.a Don Draper) looked drop dead gorgeous in a traditional black tuxedo. He gets the Oxygen Emmy for being the most delish on the red carpet.
