We just can’t get enough of Gaga. Luckily, after a long wait, the video for her next single, “Telephone,” was released this week. Not only does it feature everyone’s favorite Lady, her partner-in-crime Beyonce shows up, returning the favor Lady Gaga gave her when she appeared in Beyonce’s “Videophone.”
“Telephone” is so much more than just your typical video. At over nine minutes long, the video feels similar to Michael Jackson’s mini-movies for “Thriller,” “Bad,” and “Black or White.” The video starts off in a women’s prison, where Lady Gaga is the newest inmate. After three minutes of Gaga’s stylish time in the big house, the song’s pulsing beats kick in and Beyonce soon bails her out of jail. The femme fatales drive through the desert before coming to a stop at a diner. What happens there? You’ll have to watch to find out. It involves Gaga sporting a telephone-shaped hairdo, a dance sequence with the duo wearing American flag dresses, and police sirens. Needless to say, it’s another must see video from Lady Gaga.
