37th Annual American Music Awards

This year's 37th Annual American Music Awards oozed drama.

This year's 37th Annual American Music Awards oozed drama, controversy, fire, and of course, awesome music. With an opening performance by Janet Jackson, whose late brother swept four awards, including Favorite Male Artist in the pop/rock category and in the soul/R&B category. Taylor Swift, who tuned in via satellite from London, won five of the six categories she was nominated for including Artist of the Year, beating out Michael Jackson. Although performances by Shakira, Eminem, Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Whitney Houston were pretty solid, without a doubt jaws dropped to the floor during former American Idol heartthrob Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga's outrageous and shocking performances. Lambert performed his new single, "For Your Entertainment" which included plenty of gyrating, leashes, and sexual innuendos galore that was...well...entertaining. Lady Gaga's performances seem to get more and more outrageous. This time she donned a nude body suit equipped with lights as she belted out her first full live performance of "Bad Romance" and then left the crowd literally speechless with her fiery power ballad, "Speechless." Without a doubt, The Haus of Gaga reigns supreme. We are seriously going gaga for Gaga and even though she didn’t take home any awards this year, she is definitely the winner of our “Obsessed Award”. She is totally gorgeous, has an amazing voice, and she can totally dance her ass off—not to even mention her outrageously avant garde style!
